Meet the President

Mr. Terell W. Brown, MBA

Terell Brown, MBA is the founder, president, and real estate development manager of Garrison For Veterans. In 2006, Terell joined the United States Marine Corps. He was permanently stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA where he served until he honorably separated active-duty service in 2010. Upon separation, he attended the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Brown's chosen field of study for his undergraduate degree was real estate. In 2013, Mr. Brown graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Georgia State University's real estate program. Shortly after graduation and volunteering to gain specialized training, Terell returned back to his love of learning, attending Mercer University's Stetson School of Business to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree. Mr. Brown furthered his studies in finance and entrepreneurship, finally completing his studies and graduating in 2016.

Over the years, Mr. Brown has worked with the best in the industry when it comes to real estate development for Veterans. He cut his teeth as a real estate development associate, working his way up to a real estate developer with the market leader in federal government contracting for permanent supportive housing for homeless Veterans. During this time, Mr. Brown developed a Mentor/Protege relationship with Communities For Veterans and learned the real estate development industry.

While contracting with the federal government to develop affordable, multi-family housing for homeless Veterans utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Mr. Brown was always asked by Veterans, "What housing is available for Veterans who do not qualify for affordable housing because their income is above the limits?" Certainly affordable housing is a need for people of all levels of income. To Mr. Brown's surprise, many Veterans do not utilize their VA Loan. After planning and prayer, Mr. Brown developed a plan to help Veterans use their VA Construction Loan to build a home that is affordable to their unique financial situation.

Mr. Brown holds various licenses which allow him to effectively perform the necessary functions for his commercial developments. Mr. Brown holds a real estate license in Georgia and Florida, and is currently working to obtain licenses in other states as necessary. His understanding of the real estate industry as a whole translates into an unmatched ability to unlock value for any site. Mr. Brown also holds financial securities licenses: Series 79 and Series 63. Mr. Brown's in depth knowledge in his niche field of veteran real estate development positions Garrison For Veterans as a viable business to perform on prime contracts.
